Not really, this post is more for people who know what that means to me. For the rest it's an announcement of an announcement :)

Does PEVO stand for "Publish and evaluate Onchain"? Quite interesting concept. But how to ensure that enough reviewers with knowledge on the topic of the research are around?

The concept only works when the platform is used widely. There are some recent developments with open access requirements and cost barriers that we might solve, the timing seems pretty good to show it around and try to make it a household brand in the publication space.

Researchers I follow are extremely outraged at the Journal system, and at least one has resorted to posting papers on Nostr, in an attempt to prevent censorship of his work. The state of science publishing today is absolutely reprehensible, and pevo has a large and ready market if it can deliver.
