Hello everyone and welcome to this month’s @phctop3 Contest DPoll where we ask you, the people of Steem, to decide what are your favourites for our monthly topic.
This month’s topic is Extraterrestrial Movies
What Is The PHC Top 3 Contest DPoll All About?
Previously, we asked people to choose 3 of their extraterrestrial movies and write a bit as to why it is their favourite. We then took all of those nominations from this month and have it listed on our dpoll ready for the voting to take place.
But we need your help in deciding the most popular choices. The choices with the highest votes will be given points. The point system will determine the amount of the prize pool to be won based on placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
Cast your vote below within the 7 day polling window. Please don’t forget to RESTEEM this post and tell all your friends to vote, especially if you are a contestant, more votes means more chances of winning! Once the results are in, we will announce the winner soon after.

The criteria for voting eligibility is as follows: Min Account Age - 14 days, Min Posts - 30, and has posted within the last 30 days, Min Rep - 40, Min SP - 25.
You can choose to vote as many nominations as you would like but we have a rule:

Why delegate to the PHC Top 3?
The more delegations we receive the better our upvote will be. The more support we can give our contestants the bigger the prize pool. Also, all those that delegate to the PHC Top 3 account will receive Delegator Support.

Lol, now I've finally watched 'The Martian' (Thanks, @chekohler - awesome movie) I find out it didn't qualify, lol.
Why didn't I think of Mars Attacks and The Fifth Element myself??? ;0)

"Alien" is the best alien movie that has ever existed, "Mars Attack" was very funny and "The Fifth Element" is a great classic that I will remember all my life. there are many nominations that I haven't seen and they look interesting like "2001 Space Odyssey", I read the books, but I haven't seen the movie. "They Live" I was about to put it in my top 3 but I think the movie goes beyond aliens and focuses on our reality.

Very strange that The Dark Crystal is on the list, and I loved that movie, but not my favorite alien themed movie. I guess some of the characters are considered aliens, even though they have lived there for thousands of trine on the planet.
One of my favorite alien movies not on the list is District 9.
There were a few choices that were actually tough to decide if they were truly alien movies or not! Like a lot of topics, there were definitely a lot of interpretations on the theme, so we tried to do our best to decide. We are only "human" though. ;)
District 9 was a great one! There's always a few really solid ones that don't end up getting nominated, but definitely a lot of the great classics were picked out. Thanks for popping in to vote!

Agreed! Arrival is a great movie. The criteria for the contest was that the movie had to have at least one alien in it.

Reviewing the poll, I'm shocked E.T. has only gotten 4 votes. I thought for sure it would be number 1 on the list. It will be interesting to see the end results of the poll.
