A general question to the greater Hive community
How Can I Deposit to the Diesel Pools without Paying fees to a Middleman?
Cryptocurrency is about automation, and I am not interested in sticking the pockets of a developer in this process. I understand there is costs associated with development, I am just not impressed enough to keep paying the 1% fee that is mandatory on Tribal DEX.
It's insane to me, to give away 1% of my bitcoin, when I don't even buy coffee with it, to save myself the what I consider insane $0.25 transaction fee.
You can blow numbers at me all day, but what I am asking for is where is the 0% fee? Obviously I am not interested in paying for this service, and didn't achieve the API I expected.
I am not impressed and just looking for a reason to keep my money on this platform without funding lackluster development.
P.S. I cringe harder every single time I get an update that withdraws are Delayed... that would need to stop dead on the water for me to pay a fee...
I feel you...
The current cheapest way to deposit into Hive-Engine is HivePay SWAP or BeeSwap (depending on liquidity available).
Unfortunately, there's always going to be a middleman fee due to the fact that Hive's layer 2 is centralised.

Yes, if you don't want to pay 1% to Tribaldex then you can find another services with lower fee but I feel it doesn't make any sense to ask for 0% fee. Developers need $ to maintain and develop the platform. At least, they need to pay the server fee.

Those are web 1.0 and web 2.0 developers that are going to loose their job due to automation.
Thats cute though, a capitalist pitch is always nostalgic, but reminds me to be realistic, the Supply and Demand isn't going to curate me enough fees as a liquidity provider.
If I deposited 1 BTC I would expect some serious upgrades to the slow server from that $300 fee they just took from me.
If you look at the volume, the quality of the service on the Hive enginer does not match competitors for how much development funding they have.
I have watched people produce very extravagant crypto wallets for free, because they hate centralized banking and are true to satoshi's white paper.
Regardless of what they are doing, this is an insult to the cross chain autonomy we are all dreaming about. No one needs a fee for the code that's going to write itself soon.
Unfortunately those middlemen gatekeepers, cross chain autonomy is going to be yesterday's news as soon as some true to satoshis vision for a decentralized fee structure makes a Hive engine.
The miners on the BTC network are laughing at this centralized joke we call DPOS
I do agree with you.
But to be fair, if you're looking for a truly decentralised solution, then why are you even looking at Hive's layer-2?

Hive was a case study of a social utility token.
I am a 2013 Bitcoin investor and invested in many projects I wanted to see first hand tangible data metrics to make my own TA with.
I don't news to trust anyone, when I have first hand data and know how to chart it. So technically the chart isn't making me happy and I am using the social utility of this blockchain to engage in civil discourse.
Doubt there's any way to achieve anything in hive L2 without paying a middleman.
Leodex is very cheap in terms of fees but they don't have volume.
I've never even tried to claim anything in the diesel pool before.

I looked at leodex once, I will check it out but I assumed all hive enginer deposits were charged fees, because no one would use any of these services as soon as there is a free one.
If they are gatekeeping us, I wish the absolute worse for them.
If this is just some how expensive to maintain the hive engine, I will opt for another liquidity provider all together.
