Am I weird, or does everyone have a way of tricking their body and brain into making them do certain chores like I do?
So yesterday was Saturday, and usually, I tend to like to do my cleanups at home on Saturdays. I don't do it every Saturday, but I typically wait until a Saturday to clean up the place, especially on days when I have to do some deep cleaning.
Well, it eventually got to Saturday yesterday, and for some reason I had woken up feeling a bit sick and tired. I knew without a doubt that this was just my mind looking for an excuse why I should postpone cleaning my whole house, or at least to give me a reason why I shouldn't make it a deep clean but a light one.
So I was familiar with what was happening, but unfortunately, if my mind isn't up to the task, then my body won't be either; it's an entire psychological thing for me, so rather than let my mind win, I did this thing I would usually do to trick myself.
I had imagined that was if a friend of mine had visited me without calling ahead, but he didn't just come alone; he had come with a TV crew, because apparently he happens to be a contestant for this TV game show that I knew nothing about, and one of this week's tasks had been for him to randomly pick a friend's house for them to visit, and if that friend's house happens to be clean, my friend would win that round of the game show.
And so he had picked my house because he knows that my place is always clean and in good shape. And in order not to let my friend down, I have to get my lazy ass up and start cleaning.
It's a weird way of motivating yourself, I know, but trust me when I say that the moment I thought of that, I had gotten up and started arranging the whole place. And it took about two hours to get done, but I finished it, deep cleaning and everything else.
So tell me, am I the only one who creates scenarios like this to get myself to do things that I'm too tired to do, or do you guys do it too?

We all weird in something u don't have to worry 😉
