Coronavirus and Public Health:
Trump Delays Covid Shots for Kids
The Trump administration is holding back Covid vaccines for all children in at least 11 states and one U.S. territory, and officials have not indicated when or whether the shots will become available.
It’s the latest step by top officials to restrict vaccines in America – and it sets a precedent for holding back other immunizations.

Trump Blindsides Oil Executives
American oil executives thought they had won their fight to persuade Washington to keep diesel shipments flowing. Then, President Trump spoke up.
On the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Tuesday, he said he is considering restricting diesel exports. Prices have climbed to record levels ahead of the midterm elections in November, threatening some of the president’s Republican allies in Congress. Diesel is used by commercial truckers, farmers and others to move everything from groceries to electronic gadgets to the market.
Trump’s support for the idea blindsided industry officials.

Ohio Stations Ignore Max Miller’s Legal Threat
Ohio television stations are so far choosing to ignore a legal threat from GOP Rep. Max Miller and broadcast an ad from his Democratic challenger centered on the allegations of domestic abuse Miller faces from his ex-wife.
L'État, c'est moi L'État, c'est moi
In the weeks leading up to his resignation last year, the first architect on the White House ballroom clashed with President Donald Trump over design features that the architect believed violated building safety codes.
James McCrery withdrew from the project last October after warning repeatedly that Trump was insisting on a preliminary design that did not provide adequate emergency exit routes or fire-containment measures.
Trump brushed off McCrery’s concerns, they said, and the president countered that no building codes apply to White House construction.”
Said Trump: “I am the code.”
