For now I just see him as just another politician. Makes some promises and good moves then its back to the same old story. Hope I am wrong. Time will tell.
I'm not in Ontario, so I didn't see a whole lot about Doug Ford... every piece that I did hear about him was negative and he still won...
Generally, if the media says a person is bad (aside from criminals) they usually aren't nearly as bad as sold.
