In my post about the homemade Bee Hotel, I also included a mini contest to win 5 SmartVote shares. The contest was simply to find a flower and take a photo of it with your name written on your hand or any object.
Lets go through the participants and their entry photos first.
- @elamental took a photo of marvellous Fuchsia from a bush that grows in his backyard
- @ngocbich found a little flower on her Siam Lilly (Chlorophytum laxum)
- @riverflows could not decide so submitted a bunch of flowers 😅
- @olivia08 also submitted multiple photos of beautiful flowers
- @wildflowerjessi submitted a photograph of some amazingly colorful Snap Dragons from her front yard.
- @immarojas submitted a photo of what I think is a Singapore Holly (Malpighia coccigera)
Thank you to all of you to have made an effort to go out and look for a flower for this little contest. The flowers submitted were beautiful.

You all know that your Steem password is the access to all your STEEM, SBD, posting, transferring, everything... right?
So, please, follow these simple steps and keep yourself safe:
- Apart from the initial setup of your account, NEVER use your password ANYWHERE, if stolen, it will give full control to your Steem account.
- Backup your password and keep it somewhere safe. Use a password manager like Lastpass, print it on paper and put it in a safe (no kidding). If you forget your password, no one can help you out.
- To login for creating content and curating, use your Private Posting Key
- To make transfers and account operations, use your Private Active Key
- To encrypt and decrypt memos, use your Private Memo Key

Great idea for the contest too; a nice way to see some pretty flowers of various species.
Also I love the first photo; it has a real nice vintage post card feel to it.
