🦉 The long-tailed tit or long-tailed bushtit (Aegithalos caudatus)

  • Aegithalos (Greek): tit
  • caudatus (lat.): tailed

At the moment, meeting these birds is not so easy. They are very secretive and silent, busy with their family affairs. Building a nest, hatching eggs. But with the arrival of autumn, when nestlings grow up, you can fully enjoy observing these charming birds.

Their family flocks unite with other bird species and together they fly through the forests in search of food. No wonder, because these cuties are very friendly and social.
They are able to help each other and their neighbors. Older brothers and sisters help parents feed younger ones. Also, birds that have lost their children or nest can help other couples feed their children.
