🦉 The thrush nightingale (Luscinia luscinia)

  • Luscinia (lat.) Nightingale

This seemingly inconspicuous fellow has a magnificent voice, which sets him apart from other similar birds.
I descended closer to the river, right to the bushes where he was perched. He wasn't afraid of me and continued doing his business, namely, singing his mating song.

It's interesting that these guys live not only in bushes near water, but I even encounter them in city courtyards. They return to their usual territories every year and even remember the location of their nest from last year.
