BIG BAR SATURDAY!
I am starting the Offical Big Bar Saturday. Every Saturday I will showcase a Big Bar Of Silver, kilo or larger.
Well Today it's all about the Geiger 1000gram kilo bar. Geiger happens to be one of my go to bars. They are clean and simple but comes with some cool security features.
Now this one is still a virgin to the human hands, still wrapped in the original packaging from the mint. It simple, clean and thick. About the size of your average cell phone.
The only thing that I do not like about these bars, is the serial number is on a sticker and not etched into the bar.
Now the bar does carry the ultraviolet die on the backside that when placed under a blacklight it will glow and show you the year it was produced.
As you can see this bar was produced in 2015, at the bottom it will give you the date and at the top it will glow LEV logo.
Now the kilo is the largest size I have in a Geiger bar, but they do make a 100oz and a 5000gram bar. But one day I will own the 5000 gram bar.

It probably costs more to put the serial number into the bar itself, but that's still a really clean-looking piece of silver. I wouldn't be mad about having it in my collection.

I'm not saying it wouldn't look cool, just that it would take more work. Then again, there are a lot of people who will pay more for quality over quantity. I'll bet they could do it in a classy way. Yeah, man, always a pleasure to stop at Raytown, USA.
Here's my big bar, a little beat up looking but its a nice kilo of silver, also has a little friend with it in the form of a @pit-bullion 2 oz steem bar.

Wow, I don't do bars as I'm In the UK coins work out better and one day I'll get a kilo coin or a 10 kilo, but for now 10oz coins are my biggest. Those big bars do look awesome, such a shame you gotta pay 20% taax and only 7% on coins or Id be buying bars.
