I was going to Takengon yesterday. Takengon is one of districts in Aceh Province. It’s located in the central of Aceh, and famous with Gayo Coffee and Laut Tawar Lake.
When I drove home, I stopped by a Martabak Shop, named Martabak Mitra Bangka. It’s situated on Leube Kadir Street.
Actually Martabak Bangka is famous in Bangka, a province in Sumatra Island. Then, it’s spreading to throughout Indonesia.
This food is made from flour and butter, then after going through the ripening process, then sprinkled with chocolate grains, peanuts, sesame, cheese, sweetened condensed milk or ingredients that can be modified according to taste. Then it’s baked on a round metal pan.
Here, we can choose and order varian of Martabak. They stuck menu list on the wall.
When I had been at home, I opened martabak box, and tasted it. It’s really delicious and sweet.
If you travel to Takengon, Martabak Mitra Bangka is a choice for taking away food.
