cats photograph well too. For some reason cats really like me. I can go to someone's house and they tell me their cat is not friendly it does not matter. The cat always comes finds me and talks/ meows to me.
I'm a cat fan. For the most part, you clean their box each day, toss some food in their dish a couple times a day and they pretty much take care of themselves.
I know many people with a cat because they are so independent.

It does depend what you are looking for. Dogs are with you the whole time. Cats are more independent so suit people who are out all day (if the cat has a catflap and access to the outside world. We are home based so the dogs are great, and you have to take them for walks even if the weather is dreadful, so you get fresh air and exercise as well as love!

you have to have one of each. A cat and a dog. Great to watch how they differ. My two sleep with each other. A rottweiler and a black cat and the cat is the boss.
Now I understand why someone said I set it up for multiple votes. I am in learning mode. LOL
