Dj set in the mountains
Nestled in the mountains of beautiful Antigua Guatemala is a lovely eco-hotel called Altamira. Lots of hiking trails, photo spots, camping and over-night accommodations.
We read that one of the tourist attractions is an out-of-commission propeller aircraft. We thought, What could be a better spot for a private party?
To get here, one must go through the chocolate swirls, fire and spinning blades which only the penitent man will pass. Finally, past the terrible giant, Jeffrey who protects the valley from evil trespassers with his most menacing gaze. Fortunately, it was spa day for Jeffrey and we caught him catching some Zzzzzs in the sun... check it out.
The first part wasn't so bad.
We managed to rent a wheel barrow from a local man for about $2.00 for the flat part...
But after that, the hike down the mountain wasn't much fun at all.
There are about 200 stairs we had to walk down (and up) with turntables, speakers and the whole enchilada.
I have a whole different level of respect for the Cercle folks, lol

Our effort did not go unrewarded however.
About half way down the mountain was the aircraft. And a baby giant too!
I wonder what it is with this place and building giants.
It was also a bit of a cloudy day, but hey! we had to make due. fortunately, there was cold beer and good music
