Different people have different beliefs as to what really determines how successful a business or start-up will become. Some people believe the more money you have the better, others believe the more patents (or copyright protection claims) you have the better, while others believe putting in place a solid brand culture is what will determine your success. Now while all these are true to some extent, they are only parts of the big picture. I believe the biggest most important factor behind a company’s success lies with its team.
See, without a great team; no good decisions can be made, no funding can ever be raised, and no sales will ever be made. Aergo is out to bring the power of blockchain technology to every developer and every suited enterprise by allowing them to seamlessly design, develop and launch unique blockchain dApps on the cloud, all without spending a fortune on resources.
And it's a tough, getting an enterprise to spend extra money upgrading what seems like a functional system to a blockchain ecosystem that’s 1. Difficult to use and 2. Expensive to maintain with regards to resources is not an easy sell.
In fact, 'expensive costs and difficult usage', are two of the biggest issues plaguing blockchain technology and preventing it from going mainstream to the masses but with Aergo and its suite of applications these factors need not be a problem anymore.
However, as i mentioned before, to get Aergo to where it needs to be, the company needs a solid team in place and experienced advisors on hand. Luckily Aergo has both.
Let's meet the team running the behind the scenes, shall we?
Sitting on the board is Phil Zamani
who is currently the COO of Blocko, the biggest blockchain infrastructure provider in South Korea.
Phil has a lot going for him with regards to his skill set as well as career achievements. Other than having a great level of experience working with open source and cloud enterprise platforms for over 20 years, Phil has also worked at Santander as the overall head of Big Data and Cloud business models. So basically, he oversaw a whole suite of cloud and data related operations ensuring Santander, one of the biggest global financial institutions got the most out of their data. Phil has also overseen the cloud business unit at Deutsche Telekom, the largest telecommunications provider in Europe.
Phil was also a vice president of Business Development and Internet Embedded Linux Appliances and Sales at RedHat Inc which is an internet company based in the US that's focused on deploying open-source products to enterprises.
All these achievements will prove crucial to the success of Aergo. For example, his time at RedHat allows him to better come up with strategies to make complex IT architectures simpler and easier for developers and businesses to use. Speaking cloud biz, his time working with cloud technology at Santander and Deutsche Bank provide him with legit tools that will enable him to create reliable infrastructures that help enterprises better adopt to serverless decentralized applications and a distributed cloud-based infrastructure.
By taking advantage of all his leadership roles, Phil is not only in the best position to secure the top talent Aergo needs, but his networks will also prove crucial when it comes to creating important partnerships to grow the brand.

Roderik van der Graaf
- who holds a master’s in science in the field of Information Technology from the Queen Mary & Westfield College in the University of London and a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire. His educational background helped him further his career in the financial world. Roderik founded Lemniscap, a blockchain advisory and early stage investment firm that's focused on investing on upcoming digital assets (crypto).
He also worked for 7 years inside the private equity and venture capital space at KCP Capital and Caldera Pacific. Talk about commitment, Roderik spent 13 years of his life trading in equity derivatives at HSBC, Rabobank, Bear Steams, Deutsche Bank.
(Equity derivatives are basically financial instruments whose value is calculated off equity movements of the specified underlying asset)
Joining Phil Zamani and Roderik van der Graaf to complete the board is Hun Young Park.
The AI and System Design expert. Mr Hun has 12 years’ experience working in Relational DBMS and distributed solutions, his experience would help Aergo make better architectural decisions inside a distributed environment, mostly with regards to data modelling and database selection.

According to the company, Aergo has 3 major advisors. Eddie Alleyn - a tech entrepreneur and security expert who happens to have led special projects for the UK Government and Ministry of defence. He currently works a director to start-ups focused on cyber and physical security. Another awesome advisor is Djamel Souici who is a brilliant legal mind. Have you seen those GDPR messages that pop up anytime you visit your favourite sites, Facebook, Amazon etc? The GDPR is meant to keep your data more secure, more private and Djamel helped engineer it. Finally, Vincent Zhou, the investment pro. He is widely described as the most visionary crypto hedge fund managers in the whole of Asia.
