Whoo, just crossed another milestone. I'm now at 2500 HP. It definitely has been a lot easier to grow up the HP as I had more. A lot of it had to do with powering up my own account a lot more than powering up my other accounts. I'm really excited to be halfway to a dolphin in my own account. 5k is soooo close and I can almost feel it.
Each step has been easier and easier to get to. The first 100 was definitely the hardest to get to and then it has just gotten easier from there. As they say, the first million is the hardest. And thats especially true on Hive thanks to the benefit of curation and interest earned on staked Hive.
I managed to hit it today thanks to NFTMart, which is a market that me and a few others have made working for Hive(check it out at https://nftm.art, especially if you play DCity or Rising Star)and the payout that got out from there. Working on NFTMart has been one of my favorite things on Hive as I can make something that's actually used by others.
I'm also pretty close to 1,000 LEO and I think that might be the next thing to hit, maybe with a delegation over to LEO rather than just curation and writing posts.
Yes, every step helps. I hit 10K a while back and now am buying tokens on HE with Hive I come up with (alts I earn from faucets etc, convert to Hive). HP earned from curation gets staked and allows more HP growth.

Once you get into the swing of posting regularly the HP just keeps coming in, especially at these low Hive prices.
With BTC at record highs against Hive I'm thinking of converting over a bit.
According to Blocktrades 0.01 BTC = 2235 Hive.
Posting regularly is hard for me, mainly because the topics I like to write about(stuff I made by programming) take a long time to do. Looking forward to being able to buy Hive in the future, its just hard being a broke student right now.
It does take more time than one would expect to write a decent post but look at it not just as a money earner but as a permanent record of your achievements.
I often send friends and family and even strangers links to posts I wrote ages ago about various topics.
Your actual programming work will likely have a fairly short life, tech being so fast moving, but your post about your work will last forever.

Its one of the best things of Hive, growth can come from anywhere, one of my other accounts which has more HP than this hasn't made a single post.
