RE: Rain and rainy days.

We are so dependent on rain which is fine if it's not a dry season! Rainy movie days are lovely. We don't get many days where it's too wet to go outside at all and I like weeding in the rain as the weeds are easy to pull out.

How much area do you use for the motor cultivator? I'm interested in the difference between planting in disturbed soil or not. There's a lot of gardeners who argue to disturb the soil as little as possible. But if you're gardening a big area for crops o don't think that'll work. Do you mulch?

Now I'm calculating the area :) Approximately up to 300 square meters, that's 3 acres of land that I cultivate with a motor cultivator.
Since last year, we started mulching, and it has proven to be successful in preventing large evaporation of the soil, retaining moisture in the hot months.
Here we practice deep winter plowing, I regularly fertilize the soil with manure or organic replacement.
I even got a meter to test soil fertility.
After plowing, because of the space and it turned out to be practically the upper layer, I work with a motor cultivator. Although I'm currently waiting for good weather for a neighbor to come and prepare part of the land for winter planting.
It's all part of my adaptation, I used to plow the front garden and everything was done with a tractor, but then I didn't have an orchard yet
