I'm really missing Indo food - good fresh ingredients and nice clean tastes. You really do feel healthy after a few weeks there! This post in particularly is about a warung in Jemeluk Bay, Amed, which we ate at for lunch and dinner nearly every time. The only day we didn't eat there, we didn't enjoy it so much! Plus, the other place was really 'western' and more expensive, even charging us extra for an egg with our nasi goreng when eggs are usually part of the dish.
The restaurant is very simple, and we often sat at the bench overlooking the beach which was always really lovely. The staff were friendly and attentive too.

Excuse the lighting on this one as it was dark. Nasi campur is a selection of dishes with rice - chicken, sweet tempeh, fish, vegetables, egg. It's one of my favourite dishes.

This one was a fish curry - mahi mahi was usual here and very common in Indonesia. It's a mild tasting fish with a texture much like tuna. The curry itself isn't very spicy, so you can add chilli if you like, but I found it perfect.

My grandson enjoyed a mixed juice every day which was usually banana, mango and dragonfruit - that's why it's so pink. I usually had a mango drink as I'm a sucker for mango.

Most of the meals cost around $5 to $7 (fish is at the upper end) but you could also get a noodle sopu for around $2, usually with chicken, tofu or fish. It's pure comfort food for me and something I'd eat at home. In fact, I'm going to make some right after i write this post.

This one we had quite a bit - my son and I in particular. It's a steamed and fried fish with tomatoes and is really, really good.

We loved Seaview Warung and wouldn't hesitate go to go back there if we were in Amed again.
With Love,

That food looks absolutely delicious! 😍 I can almost taste the nasi campur and fish curry. Seaview Warung sounds like a gem—definitely adding it to my Bali food list! 🍛🐟🥭
All the food looks amazing, and so cheap, and ... so full of the GOOD STUFF.
I love eating fish, but the prep work for fresh fish just kills me. I settle for frozen hunks of snapper, tuna, or salmon, or tuna straight from the tin.
Aldi do good frozen snapper! It's my favourite fish. And I do a yum tuna noodle stir fry for lunch sometimes. Just basic, bit of spring onion, cabbage, tuna, tamari, noodles .. so quick and yum. Trick is to add tuna just at last minute at high heat and kinda dry fry so it browns a little.
That's where I get my frozen snapper from :D
I really like the Samyang 3x spicy noodles (Korean ones) - and will often have them with some frozen broc / cauli - tomorrow I might have some with tuna after the gym.
Will be a rainy day tomorrow, so perfect day for spice, followed by a magnesium salt soak.
Mango is a delight! I’m very sure your grandson loves that flavor more because of the color, I might be wrong though, hehe.
The food looks delicious I hope they taste great too.
