As I wrote this, it's 5.30 am on a Sunday. I'm waiting for Jamie to wake up and put the kettle on. I've married a man that unfailingly makes me a cuppa in bed, every single morning, just as my granddad did for my grandma for sixty odd years.
When the kettle goes, I'll rush to the main bedroom to slide into the warmth and snuggle with him a while. We sleep in separate rooms - I've always loved my space and this way we sleep better. Yet that doesn't mean we don't have lots of snuggle time. So, snuggles. That's on the verge of too personal, but feel free to use your imagination. It's the weekend, after all.
I rarely sleep in. There's always a lot to do in a day. I'm usually quite excited by what the day brings and keen to get on with it. If the tide is low early and the surfs good I skip the snuggles, grab a cuppa and I'm off down the beach, but otherwise we lay in bed just that little bit longer because we can. But I'm a sucker for the dawn. It's so beautiful and magical. I'd rather be in bed super early so I can greet it right. Sleep when you're dead, right? Besides, the older you get the less you can sleep well it seems anyway.
Our bedroom looks out into the garden, so if it's stormy the skies and trees tops are beautiful to stare at. The birds are usually crazy loud - in fact, there's one out my window now singing in the dawn.
Oop - there goes the kettle. Gotta go - it's snuggle time. 💗

How lucky you are and how nice that you are enjoying it. Beautiful views, a pampering couple, the sea nearby. And you are right, lately we sometimes waste a lot of time sleeping. Maybe the passing of the years makes us aware of the value of time.

Witnessing the sun shine so early in the morning ✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧ this is awesome. But I can sleep late and still wake up early coz my eyes will just automatically open, like my body got used to the time I wake up, hehe. And if this is the kind of view that is waiting for me, I will get up on my bed instead of lying in there while my eyes was wide open. Perfect!
It's great that awakening and what I like the most is this statement: "because we can".
That's how it should be, freedom and joy for everything.

I like my space too, my lady lives 327 miles away, so every 6 weeks or so we get to drink a lot of tea together LOL
