Hello Everyone! Hope you all are doing amazing and welcome to another #Splinterlands post.
Another season is gone in #Splinterlands and honestly today was more about rewards and shopping than actual battles.
I did not even play a single match today. Yesterday was already too exhausting because I was grinding really hard to maintain my rank before season end. Luckily, all that grinding actually paid off because I managed to finish the season in Diamond 1. That is still crazy for me to think about because few weeks ago I was struggling around Gold and low Diamond.
But as everyone knows, when new season starts your rank drops a bit. So after reset my new rank became Diamond 3. Honestly it felt little painful seeing the rank go down again after working so hard lol. But that is just how #Splinterlands works and now the grind begins once again.
The best part of season ending is always the rewards though.
After the season ended, I got rewarded around 37,000 glint points which boosted my total balance to around 51,000 glint points. When I saw that amount sitting there I instantly knew I was gonna spend it on something fun instead of saving it.
I bought 5 Ultimate Chests and each one costed me 10,000 glint points. It felt kinda painful watching 50k glint disappear instantly but at the same time opening rewards is one of the most fun things in #Splinterlands.
To improve my luck a bit, I also used Alchemy Potions before opening the chests. Maybe it helps, maybe it doesnt, but mentally it makes me feel more confident while opening rewards.
𝐄𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬
This season was honestly one of my hardest seasons so far. Diamond league players are not easy at all. Every battle feels sweaty and one small mistake can completely destroy your lineup.
Still, reaching Diamond 1 before season ended made me feel really proud. I feel like my understanding of team building is improving slowly. I am also learning when to play safe and when to go full risky mode.
Some battles were complete disasters though.
There were matches where I thought I had the perfect counter team and then suddenly my frontline gets deleted in 2 rounds. #Splinterlands can humble you very fast.
But overall I think this season was successful.
When the new season started and my rank dropped back to Diamond 3, it honestly reminded me how endless the grind in this game really is. You can climb for days and then reset happens and suddenly you are back fighting for rating again.
But honestly that is also why I enjoy this game so much.
There is always another goal.
Now my next target is trying to maintain Diamond 1 consistently and maybe someday even push Champion if my cards become strong enough. Right now Champion still feels impossible for me.
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐢𝐠 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧
So after staring at my 51k glint balance for few minutes, I went directly into the rewards shop.
I ignored the smaller chests completely because today I wanted maximum risk and maximum rewards.
Ultimate Chests always feel exciting because you know there is a chance to pull something really valuable. Even if you dont get crazy rewards, the opening animation itself feels satisfying.
Buying 5 Ultimate Chests at once felt like opening expensive loot boxes in other games lol.
And yes, before opening them, I activated my Alchemy Potions because I wanted better chances for upgraded rarity rewards.
Honestly I wish I also used Legendary Potions but I decided to save some resources for later.
𝐌𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐔𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐬
I actually think Ultimate Chests are worth buying if you already have enough glint saved up. Sure, it is risky and sometimes rewards can be underwhelming, but the chance of getting really strong rewards makes it fun.
I personally prefer buying bigger rewards instead of small guaranteed value rewards. Maybe that is bad strategy but it feels more exciting.
Also using Alchemy Potions makes the openings feel even more special.
I dont know if the potion luck is real or if it is just placebo effect.
But whenever I use them, I always feel more hopeful while opening rewards.

Overall today was a pretty chill #Splinterlands day. No stressful battles, no rage moments, no crazy clutches.
Just rewards, shopping, chest openings and preparing mentally for another season grind.
Ending the season at Diamond 1 honestly feels like a massive achievement for me and I hope next season goes even better.
