Gerne fotografiere ich ganz spontan und manchmal kommt mir ein Tier vor die Linse wovon ich keinen Plan habe was es ist. Dann schaue ich mir meine Fotos zu Hause an und fange an zu recherchieren. Hier traf ich auf ein paar schöne Exemplare der Nilgans.
Da ich mich zuvor nicht weiter mit Gänsen beschäftigt hatte und ich wenigstens den Name des Tieres wissen wollte, machte ich mich auf eine Recherche und nun darf ich Euch meine Fotos der Nilgans präsentieren.
Die Nilgans ist nur eine Teilgans, sie gehört nämlich zu den Entenvögeln. Auffällig im Vergleich zu anderen Gänsen hat die Nilgans lange rosarote bis rötliche Beine. Besonders gut kann man sie am auffälligem Gefieder erkennen. Um die Augen ist der rotbrauner bis rötlicher Ring um am Hals ist von Tier zu Tier leicht unterschiedlich.
So wie sie es fast schon in ihrem Namen verraten kommt die Nilgans ursprünglich aus Afrika, also am Nil entlang. So ist auch die Nilgans ein Neozeon, das heißt sie zählt zu den eingewanderten Arten. Mittlerweile findet man sie oft in Europa wobei sie das ganze Jahr anzutreffen sind. Wenn es nicht allzu kalt im Winter wird ziehen sie nicht unbedingt weiter.
Gräser, Samen und auch Blätter sind ihre Hauptnahrung, manchmal darf es aber auch Heuschrecken, Würmer oder auch mal eine Schnecke sein. Eine Nilgans ist sehr kräftig und kann um die 70 cm groß werden, ein Männchen wiegt etwas über 2 Kilo, sein Weibchen ist um die 200 Gramm leichter.
Bei dem Bau eines Nestes ist die Nilgans nicht besonders wählerisch. Ob direkt am Wasser, auf einem Baum, in Erdhöhlen oder sie besetzten auch gerne mal fremde leere Nester.
Obwohl ich bei meinem Ausfluss das Gefühl hatte die Nilgans scheint am schüchternsten zu sein, habe ich nach meiner Recherche erfahren das sie gerne sich in der Nähe der Menschen aufhalten. An diesem Tag hatte ich eine Nilgans wie ein Topmodel vor der Kamera. Aber seht selber.

Since I hadn't looked further into geese before and I wanted to at least know the name of the animal, I set out to do some research and now I get to present you with my photos of the Nile Goose. The Nile Goose is only a partial goose, because it belongs to the duck birds.
Striking compared to other geese, the Nile Goose has long pink to reddish legs. It can be recognized especially well by its conspicuous plumage. Around the eyes is the reddish-brown to reddish ring around at the neck is slightly different from animal to animal.
As they reveal it almost in their name, the Nile Goose originally comes from Africa, so along the Nile. So also the Nile Goose is a neozeon, that means it is one of the immigrated species.
In the meantime they are often found in Europe where they can be seen all year round. If it is not too cold in winter they do not necessarily move on. Grasses, seeds and also leaves are their main food, but sometimes it may be grasshoppers, worms or even a snail.
A Nile Goose is very strong and can grow to about 70 cm, a male weighs a little over 2 kilos, its female is about 200 grams lighter. When building a nest, the Egyptian goose is not particularly choosy. Whether directly at the water, on a tree, in earth caves or they occupied also gladly times strange empty nests.
Although I had the feeling at my outflow that the Nile Goose seems to be the most shy, after my research I found out that they like to stay close to people.
