If success was to answer to wishes alone, everyone will become successful by just wishing it. No matter how you wish for good things to happen to you, without taking steps, you will only wish in vain. It is only when you introduce work on the scene that you will be ready for success. Not just any kind of what but relevant work done at the right time and rightly.
Anyone or any fate that excludes you from work or makes someone else's efforts the pivot for your own success while you only wish is an irresponsible fate. Your success is almost always a direct result of how you have put work into your thoughts. It is not wrong to wish for something big but you still need to take the responsibility to start from where you are. Oftentimes, you may start small but greatness will be achievable through work.
You should not be ashamed of your hustles and your works. You should be proud of anything that is legit that you do to bring money to your pocket and to put food on your table. When you wish for something, it does not exclud you from working towards it.
You are never rewarded for wishing to do something. You are also not rewarded for having the plans to work. The rewards only come when you have done the work for real. While working, you have to also put relevance into consideration. You will agree with me that not all works are worthwhile. Some are even counterproductive, so you have to focus more on the how to work. Believe me, having a smart way to work will produce a better result than working hard.
When you set out to work, always ask yourself if there is a better way of getting the work done easier, faster, with better precision and efficiency. Remember that success is not a function of the amount of energy you expend during work nor how hard you have worked but the result you have to show for it. If you used a whole day to complete a task and someone else was able to get the same task done in few mins, both of you will receive the same reward. Life does not pay you on the basis of time wasted but on the results obtained.
A farmer that uses hoes and cutlass to cultivate his farmland will expend so much energy at the end of the day but will not have a better yield than someone that uses mechanized farm implements, so be guided. Here's an adage from Southeast Nigeria to prove this point:
Working hard will only guarantee your feeding money but if you want to be rich, you have to focus on working smart
Your Wishes and your thoughts should only motivate you to work and not to wait for others to work on your behalf. Those that we see as very successful today and they even earn money while sleeping, there was a time they had to work well for it. The work you put in today is what guarantees your rest tomorrow.
