The future’s a weirder place
than we thought it would be
when we were young
the greatest of humanity
have not been born yet
they are waiting patiently
for the past to die
I am a word.
At Worst, a meme.
At best a poem
I wait patiently
as I sharpen my pen
It always starts out like this,
The restlessness of the body
The wonderment of the mind
The loathing of reality
The mystery of consciousness
wrestling with my thoughts
poking holes in reality
peeling back perception
waiting for the muse
writing is to create a context in
which other people can think
music is to create a context in
which other people can feel
poetry is to create a context in
which other people can see
Never underestimate the determination
of a soul who is time-rich and cash-poor
Moonlight peeking thru the blinds,
the silent cold of the early morning
Dreams can wait,
it's the NOW that commands
A secret vision of speechless monologue
and overwhelming guidance,
an invisible mansion of
all moods, musings, and mysteries,
an infinite resort of
misfortune and revelations

Egads! how this rang true as I read... kinda took me on my own nostalgic trip of what I thought these days would be like when I was younger.

The poem in its entirety is amazing, complex as each part can take you down a new stream of thought.
I had to smile here though because it had me think of a movie, it can be the entire basis of a blockbuster and is pretty badass.
