How are you?

It was hot outside, almost summery weather, 26°C in the afternoon, and I'm on the island of Pag, preparing my parcel for the holidays. The work went on late into the night.

And I have two interesting beers, both brewed in collaboration. For 460th #beersaturday. I’m ready to empty them and share the experience with you.

Here Comes The Sun

Brewed by FUERST WIACEK, Berlin, Germany, in collaboration with a Greek brewery Strange Brew.
Can, 0.44 l, alcohol 4.0% ABV, IBU N/A. Fruited Berliner weisse style.

What do the Master Brewers say?

Fruited sour with mango & raspberry, Berliner weisse.

The beer has a cloudy, orange color, with an average head that fades quickly. It has a very fruity aroma. It goes down smoothly; I detect a slight tartness on the palate, followed immediately by a pronounced fruity flavor—mango and raspberries—and a texture reminiscent of a smoothie.
The aftertaste fades quickly.

Tasty and juicy! A light, well-balanced beer with a completely natural barrel note. It’s not particularly sour, so fans of sour beers probably won’t be satisfied, but I think it’s perfect for drinking during the day and in the heat.

I thought that since it wasn’t tourist season yet, there wouldn’t be any crowds, but I was wrong. We waited over an hour for the ferry.
Well, the views of the sea are beautiful, though.

Fang & Flame

Brewed by Brew York, York, England in collaboration with Slovenian's Green Gold Brewing.
Can, 0.44 l, alcohol 4.6% ABV, IBU N/A. Pale Ale, American.

What do the Master Brewers say?

Fang & Flame is a bold DDH Pale Ale brewed in collaboration with Slovenia’s Green Gold Brewing. Inspired by the mythical beasts it’s named after, this beer channels the fiery spirit of the Styrian Dragon and the untamed bite of the Styrian Wolf hops, unleashing fierce bursts of citrus, passion fruit, and mango. Vibrant, juicy, and full of bite—this is a brew that doesn’t hold back.

The beer has a bright yellow color, and the head is thick and long-lasting. It has a citrusy aroma. It goes down smoothly, and I detect a pleasant bitterness on the palate that gives way to citrus notes, passion fruit, and herbs.
The bitterness lingers in the aftertaste for a while.

A drinkable, juicy, and refreshing beer!
A double dry-hopped pale ale, perfect for summer and hot weather; it doesn’t have the intense bitterness of an IPA but is well balanced with the fruity aromas of the hops. Anyone who doesn’t like overly strong bitterness will love it! I got it at a specialty beer shop; you can’t find it in local stores. Maybe I’ll pick up a few more when I’m back there.🍻
