"Traveling through life, we pick up labels. Some imposed by society, some we take on. When we seek to deepen the relationship with ourselves, we start to learn how much some of those labels hold us back." -- ShadowsPub
The adhesive on labels can be difficult to remove. The ones that don't belong to who we really are must be carefully peeled away and the residue scrubbed off.

Just yesterday I was talking to someone about the harm labels cause.
As a psychologist, I'm against them.
I tend to agree with you. I also notice though how often people casually apply labels to people and situations. I make a personal choice not to ever turn on my video when in a situation where it could be. I find it stunning how many people think it's their right to question me on why or apply labels 'explaining' my choice. They can't get, it's my choice and I'm exercising it, just as they choose to turn it on.
Exactly. It happens exactly as you describe, more than we imagine, unfortunately.
