I have been pregnant for six months, and for six months now, I have been promoting pregnancy products on TikTok. Yes, I've been engaging in side hustles as a TikTok affiliate for six months now, and maybe I'll continue until my baby is born.
It's not that my husband is not financially supportive; he is very supportive and provides for all my needs. It's just that I want to contribute and help him earn money to buy baby essentials for our future child.
TikTok Affiliate is easy to start, you don't need a lot of followers to start promoting. All you have to do is download the TikTok seller app, apply as an affiliate, and choose the product you want to promote. You can also request sample products from sellers.
During my first month, nobody wanted to give me samples yet, and I can't blame them because samples also cost money. So, what I did was search for products with an existing affiliate and promoted them.
In my second month, shops started providing me with samples because they knew I could sell products on TikTok.
Lately, shops have been approaching me to promote their products. Of course, I always look at their products first to see if they fit my niche.
This side hustle may seem easy, but it's actually quite challenging. You need to find products that you think will sell, request samples, prepare a script, and sometimes do a voice-over.
As of now, my TikTok affiliate earnings are not enough to match a worker's salary, but I am still earning at least four digits in pesos per month.
After I give birth, the next products I plan to promote are baby products.
