I went to the hospital today for my OGGT Lab. I fasted for 8 hours, and this morning when I woke up, I really felt hungry. If you're going to get an OGGT lab test, you need to fast from 11 PM to 7 AM. Aside from that, I needed to wake up early because there is a cut-off in the hospital for taking this test, and I wanted to be the first in line. My husband woke me up at around 5:30 AM, telling me to wake up and prepare. We arrived at the hospital around 6:30 AM.
Our hospital is a government hospital near our place, 2-3 minutes walk.
since it's a public hospital, there is time we need to follow and we need to be there early because most of the people in our city go there.

Good thing I was first in line because, after a while, pregnant women started coming in also for laboratory tests.
The OGGT test takes 3 hours to finish. They will take a blood sample from you every hour. So even though I came early, I finished the test around 8:49 AM.
The OGGT test is expensive, it costs around Php 1,000 in our city. But my husband, being thrifty, found a way to make it free by asking for assistance in a government department inside the hospital. They just asked him for a community indigency paper, and he got the lab test for free.
It only took him a few hours to do this. He always tells me that he is like that because he wants to take advantage of the benefits that are being given to people by the government. If no one uses those benefits, they might just go into politicians' pockets.
He also told me that because he saved money on the lab test, I can eat at Jollibee after the test. Hahaha!
I don't mind him being like that. The truth is, after some time of living with him, I have also developed that mentality. If you can get something for free or cheap, grab it. These days, especially since we are having a baby, it's not practical to decline things that are given to you freely.
This is not the first time he did that. He also did not pay for my CAS and some laboratory tests required for pregnant women. He also manages to get me free vitamins like folic acid at the health center.

BTW I also got this dress for free, a friend of mine gave it to me.
Can't wait to see my baby. I'll be bringing her into this world this October. Pray for my safety, guys. :)
