Last week, Gift was admitted to the hospital because of a minor cough and cold. The doctor told me that it is standard operating procedure (SOP) for newborn babies to be admitted if they have a cough or cold, especially if they are born prematurely. Because of that, we were forced to put our baby in the hospital again. We stayed there for 7 days because, once again, they told us that it is mandatory to finish the antibiotic treatment for 7 days.

The hospital is a very depressing place, it prevents you from doing things and makes you worry not only about health issues but also financial issues.

We don't have extra money for emergencies like this. There is an option to put my daughter in a charity ward, but my husband decided to take a loan because the charity ward in the Philippines is difficult. Two to three patients will share the same bed, and instead of getting better, your condition might get worse.

We are not wealthy, and I hope this is the last time we have to visit the hospital because our baby got sick.

I hope the baby girl gets better soon and that they can pay off the loan. It is really worrying when they get sick when they are so young.
By the way, she is beautiful!

Thanks! :) She's better now, I just hope we dont need to visit the hospital again.
