Journey trough the Bamboo forest

I finally found what kind of artist that I want to be! I want to be a concept artist and this is my first time trying drawing in perspective. I want to draw a person with a dog while they are on a journey to a place that calm yet dangerous.

Here is my attempt:

Step 1

First is I stablish my vanishing point.

Step 2

Then, I made a quick sketch of the piece that I want to make. I did some thumbnailing first before settling to a final design that I want.

Step 3

I then divided the piece into different sections so that I would be easier for me to draw over it later. I aslo simplified some shapes just to stablish visual clarity in my piece.

Step 4

I then added the textures that I want on my painting.

Step 5

I blended the colors and adjusted the values of my painting.

Step 6

I added the little details of my piece like the leafs and the stones. I use specific brush to get that effect.

Step 7

I adjusted the values more as I keep adding more textures to my piece.

Step 8

I added some godrays and painterly texture to the piece to give the effect that it is painted traditionally.

Step 9

Lasty, I added an orange tint and a vignette to finish it all off.
