For example.... "Kansas." As in "We are definitely back in Kansas, Toto."

Does this planet look sufficiently backwater? Less Coruscant, more Tatooine? I mean, wherever this place is, it has a broken moon like the one from the Thundarr the Barbarian cartoon.

Back when 3rd edition D&D came out and WOTC released the Open Game License, so that anyone could publish D&D materials, I was trying like heck to find out who owned the rights to Thundarr, because I wanted to make a Thundarr source book for 3E. Which, would pretty much just be Gamma World, but still. I think that would have been awesome.

Boilerplate:
JAVA JAGUAR is a webcomic based on the true story of a talking jaguar cub found in a coffee shop. Yes, I said based on the true story. Java Jaguar is produced by the nomadic cartoonist, Matt S. Law, on his mobile art studio consisting of Clip Studio Paint Pro on a Microsoft Surface Pro 7+.

Appropriate responses in this situation:

Some old lady, flying around on her electric hoover, saying "I'll get you my little pretties, and your little dog Toto too!", i didn't even have a little dog Toto

Bah Weep Granah Weep Ninni Bong!

Gleep! the dragon said.

Mega-props for the Thundarr the Barbarian reference!

Last Friday I was talking to a British chum not much younger than me about a novel he's planning to write about the moon being struck by a planetoid and partially cracking apart. I told him it reminds me of the Thundarr the Barbarian cartoon where the moon was cracked, but he had no idea what I was talking about.

And they like to say the British have culture... phooey! 😏

I thought that was a great cartoon. The premise is a little scary for kids, where civilization is wiped out in the opening sequence. But Moks are kewl!

Around here we may make fun of certain other towns, but everyone needs a rival. At least Java is well fed for his adventure.

!LOLZ

Maybe a little TOO well-fed. All that scone weight might weigh him down.
