Hello Hivers! In my previous post I shared with you an interesting corner of my city, but now I'm here for a sort of "back in the past" with the first self portrait I painted: the old Lady and the deer.
Sure, It's not a realistic portrait of myself, but just a representation of my soul and my way to live.
It's an oil painting on canvas and in this piece you can see an old woman (that represent yself in a future, hoping to be also a wise woman ^_^) and my love for animals and nature.
I painted this piece at the end of 2016 and I hanged it over my sofa, a place where I can watch this self portrait many times and, at the same time, it reminds me what kind of woman I love to be: an old (maybe a bit wise too) woman who loves all animals, the forests and who loves to have big eyes to watch better all tings around. ^_^

How we see ourselves may not be what the world sees. I like the picture. As others have said, being old is better than the alternative ;)
Lol I totally agree with you: being old is really better than the alternative (here in Italy we use this sentence many times :D ) and to be honest I'm very proud of every year I had on my shoulders (or every white hair I have, as we say here). :D
