Worthless – Proverbs 18:11

The wealth of the rich is their fortified city; they imagine it an unscalable wall.

No matter how much you do to protect your investments, there’s always something we don’t see around the corner. In fact, when the people of YHWH make money their god, YHWH has His ways to bring that god on it’s knees. Which in turn brings His people to their knees.

Wealth is not a fortified city. It’s not something we should put our hope and trust in. Wealth can be deceitful. It can deceive us into thinking we need it for our security. Even Yeshua mentions the deceitfulness of wealth.

Matthew 13:22 - The one who received the seed that fell among the thorns is the man who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke it, making it unfruitful.

Don’t get me wrong. Money is very useful in life, regardless of what currency or tender it is. However, it is not to be what we put our trust in. It is not to be what we put our hope in.

Proverbs 11:4 - Wealth is worthless in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout today. Until next time, Shalom.

Money is very useful in life, regardless of what currency or tender it is. However, it is not to be what we put our trust in. It is not to be what we put our hope in.

This is so important, riches really are deceitful. They trick us into thinking we are secure, when the rug can be pulled out from right beneath us. It's NOTHING like the rock of our Salvation which cannot be shaken.

They sure can trick people and you are so right if we build our house of the Rock of our Salvation then the storms of life will have no power in the end!

Howdy sir simms50! So true. People are chasing the wrong thing!
Any big plans for the weekend?

Looks like I am behind on commenting...well this past weekend I had Sabbath on Saturday, then on Sunday night it was the kick off for the fall festivals as it was the Feast of Trumpets! Everyone had a good time with that! How was your weekend?

Very nice weekend here too sir simms50! Mrs. J was off work and we got lots of work accomplished on the property plus lots of relaxing time.

Relax time is important!!!

Howdy tonight sir simms50! I agree. I think it's widely under-rated in this country and people wonder why they burn out!
