My Thoughts on Relationships: Keeping it Simple

Once I start feeling like I’m the only one putting in effort, that’s my signal to step back and reevaluate.

It’s not selfish; it’s self-value. You have to find someone who understands that they have to match your energy in relationships too; it’s more than love it’s also about respect too sometimes.

I don’t think finding the right person is about luck, I think you have to be wise and picky. Some people come into your life for lessons even if that lesson was just reminding me of how important it is to know my worth.

Just because something could’ve been different doesn’t mean it would’ve been better. The right person will show you that you weren’t asking for too much, you were simply asking the wrong person for what you deserve.

Communication is key in any relationship. If I do not let people know how I feel then they will never understand. They cannot read my mind, it is wrong to expect them to try. So now I speak up and tell the truth about what i want from others openly but also respectfully even if it’s difficult sometimes because this is necessary for healthy relationships.

One thing that has become apparent for me during my self-discovery journey was that being in a partnership should not take away all of your energy.

If anything leaves you feeling constantly worn out and empty inside, it means something isn’t right.I deserve someone who makes me feel alive again every day instead of zapping all the life out of me like an energy vampire.

Relationships, as I have learned over time through experience, need more than just love alone in order to thrive;they need work too.

You have got to be willing to give up certain things, compromise on others while still respecting each other equally. The most important thing here though is finding somebody who understands that we both have needs which must be met for there to be any healthy partnership between us two.

So, I have made myself a commitment to always follow my inner feelings and trust my gut. If something doesn’t seem right, i won’t brush it off. I will think about it and see if this relationship is really good for me or not. If it isn’t, then i’ll be brave enough to leave and wait for something better.

Relationships are hard but they don’t have to be complex. I think that by being simple and basing them on mutual understanding and communication,i can get the fulfilling loving partnership that i deserve.

It’s all about realizing my value, speaking up for myself while believing that one day i will meet the right person at the right time.
