AMARILLO
Sobre el amarillo
mariposa partida en dos
sangrando colores
sobre el amarillo.
Bandera el aire
saltamontes enamorado
de la verde hierba.
Una loca chicharra dormita su canto
a la sombra de un pino amante del silencio
adorador de un lejano ciprés.
Bajo la nube en forma de elefante
tragado por una serpiente
canta el pequeño príncipe
y a lo lejos junto al prado
pasa el río besando los juncos caídos
enamorados del agua
sobre el amarillo.

YELLOW
Over the yellow
a butterfly split in two
bleeding colors
over the yellow.
A flag in the air
a grasshopper in love
with green grass.
A crazy cicada sleeps through its song
in the shade of a pine tree, lover of silence
adorer of a distant cypress.
Beneath the elephant-shaped cloud
swallowed by a snake
the Little Prince sings
and far away by the meadow
the river passes kissing fallen reeds
in love with the water
over the yellow.
