Before I left Cambodia I never eat soy chunks but now I use it instead of tofu sometimes. I made this recipe to eat many times before I made this post.
Itβs crunchy and delicious with brown rice. Every time I made this dish I need to cook more rice than on normal days.
π©βπ³ Fried Spicy Sesame Soy Chunks (Ital) Recipe πͺ

Ingredients
- 1 cup soy chunks
- 1/8 cup roasted sesame seeds
- 1 onion
- 1 green long chili (not spicy)
- 1 yellow chili (spicy)
- 5 red and green chilies (small)
- 3 cloves garlic
- 3 lime leaves
- 1/2 tsp salt or taste
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
Soak soy chunks in water 5-10 minutes and remove them from the water. Squeeze the water out of them, after fry it until brown or until crunchy.
Cut all like that.
Step 1Heat oil and fry garlic and chili until aromatic. | |

Step 2Then put soy sauce, salt, sugar, and fry it. | |
Step 3Then put onion, green chili, fry it a little, put sesame seeds and fry it.Finally put fried soy chunks and fry it again very well, put lime leaves and fry a little more. Itβs ready. |
