In the middle of this week I went to visit a very dear friend of mine, who due to his generosity gave me several books of which he had already read completely, besides he did not have much space in his room and decided to leave them to me to give them a better use, I was very happy the truth, several of the books that he gave me look very good as well as in good condition, I will continue reading them one by one little by little when I have the time and the disposition, however there was one in particular that caught my attention and it is about this book in question, which had already informed me a long time ago about the figure or the man in question which is emphasized, a figure who has done incredible feats and has formed a marked reputation.
It is curious because for some years ago, I always wanted or had in mind to have this book in physical form, as you know I am not so much a supporter or fan of having information supports digitally, I like more to have them in physical form, but if you can not or if I really like a book and I have the possibility of obtaining it digitally I will do it, there were also books of which I made exceptions for that part, however it is quite curious to have this book in my hands I am very grateful to my friend, so it will be a pleasure for me to talk about the poem of the cid.
A mitades de esta semana fui a visitar a un muy querido amigo mío, el cual debido a su generosidad me regalo varios libros de los cuales el ya había leído por completo, además de que no tenía mucho espacio en su habitación y decidió dejármelos para darle un mejor uso, estaba muy feliz la verdad, varios de los libros que me regalo se ven muy bien así como en buen estado, continuare leyéndolos uno por uno poco a poco cuando tenga el tiempo y la disposición, sin embargo hubo uno en particular que me llamo bastante la atención y se trata de este libro en cuestión, el cual ya me había informado hace mucho tiempo atrás sobre la figura o el hombre en cuestión del cual se le hace énfasis, una figura que ha hecho hazañas increíbles y se le ha formado una reputación marcada.
Es curioso porque desde hace algunos años atrás, siempre quise o tenía pensado el tener este libro de forma física, como sabrán no soy tan partidario o fanático de tener soportes de información de manera digital, me gusta más tenerlos de forma física, pero si no se puede o si un libro me gusta mucho y tengo la posibilidad de obtenerlo de forma digital lo hare, también hubo libros de los cuales hice sus excepciones por esa parte, sin embargo es bastante curioso que tenga esta libro en mis manos le estoy muy agradecido a mi amigo, así que será un placer para mi hablar de el poema del cid.
¿Who was Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar? /¿Quien fue Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar?
Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar (1048 - 1099) or also known as the Cid Campeador, was considered as a Castilian military leader, with an exceptional ability for combat and strategy which came to dominate at the head of his own army of the Iberian Peninsula autonomously, being considered as a mercenary who provided his services to those warlords or kings who needed it, despite also being considered as a war hero (in Castile) or Crusader for the reconquest.
He also managed to conquer Valencia and form there, an independent domain from June 17, 1094 until his death in 1099, was a figure who had certain frictions due to various factors with royalty, mainly with King Alfonso VI to banish him, orillándolo to provide their services to others to clear his name and be noted for their capabilities and intellectual battles.
Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar ( 1048 - 1099) o también conocido como el Cid Campeador, fue considerado como un líder militar castellano, con una habilidad excepcional para el combate y la estrategia el cual llego a dominar al frente de su propia mesnada de la península Ibérica de forma autónoma, siendo este considerado como un mercenario el cual prestaba sus servicios aquellos caudillos o reyes que lo necesitasen, a pesar de ser considerado también como un héroe de guerra (en Castilla) o Cruzado a favor de la reconquista.
También logro conquistar Valencia y formar ahí, un dominio independiente desde el 17 de Junio de 1094 hasta su muerte en 1099, fue una figura que tuvo ciertos roces debido a diversos factores con la realeza, principalmente con el rey Alfonso VI al desterrarlo, orillándolo a prestar sus servicios a otros para limpiar su nombre y hacerse notar por sus capacidades de batallas eh intelectuales.

El Cid or Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar is considered one of the great Spanish heroes, most of his most notorious and outstanding feats are captured in this poem in question, or cantar de gesta, a term coined to epic epics of the Middle Ages which emphasize remarkable feats by heroic figures. This is also the first and great work of Spanish literature, however the curious thing about this poem is that it is anonymous since it is not known exactly who wrote it or the time in which it was written, it is only known that the copy that has reached our hands, including the one I have with me, is signed by a certain Per Abbat.
This work is structured in a narrative way and in verses since it will touch aspects and significant characters in that time, of which they will narrate us their impact with our hero Rodrigo, its structuring is composed by 3 important themes or songs that will expose in a very detailed way the adversities that the Cid and company will face in a little more than half of their life.
El Cid o Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar es considerado como uno de los grandes héroes españoles, gran parte de sus hazañas mas notorias y sobresalientes se encuentran plasmadas en este poema en cuestión, o cantar de gesta, un término acuñado a epopeyas épicas de la edad media las cuales hacen énfasis en hazañas destacables por figuras heroicas. También esta viene siendo la primera y gran obra de la literatura española, sin embargo lo curioso de este poema es que es anónimo ya que no se sabe con exactitud quien lo elaboro o el tiempo en cual se realizo, solamente se sabe que la copia que ha llegado a nuestras manos incluyendo la que tengo presente conmigo, está firmada por un tal Per Abbat.
Esta obra se encuentra estructurada de manera narrativa y en versos ya que tocara aspectos y personajes significativos en ese tiempo, de los cuales nos narraran su impacto con nuestro héroe Rodrigo, su estructuración está compuesta por 3 temas importantes o cantares que expondrán de manera muy detallada las adversidades que afrontaran el Cid y compañía a un poco mas de mitades de su vida.

This composition focuses mainly on the exploits and deeds that had a great impact, by the figure of Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar in the middle or a little later in his life, as mentioned previously in the last point. The structuring of this poem in question is divided into 3 aspects or songs, songs linked to the stages through which both the Cid and his companions and family, had to go through certain adversities in this case with individuals, with hidden and ill-intentioned intentions of royalty, including the king himself being the main figure and responsible for the banishment of our hero of noble caste and also with the war conflicts at that time related to the Muslims.
Esta composición se centra principalmente en las hazañas y obras que tuvo un gran impacto, por parte de la figura de Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar a mitades o un poco más adelante en su vida, como mencione con anterioridad en el punto pasado. La estructuración de este poema en cuestión se divide en 3 aspectos o cantares, cantares vinculados a las etapas por las cuales tanto el Cid como sus compañeros y familia, tuvieron que pasar ciertas adversidades en este caso con individuos, con intenciones ocultas y mal intencionadas de la realeza, incluyendo el mismo rey siendo la figura principal y responsable del destierro de nuestro héroe de casta noble y también con los conflictos bélicos en aquel entonces relacionados a los Musulmanes.
Personal opinion / Opinión personal
I think this is a personal taste that I have mentioned before when reviewing films linked to the Middle Ages, but I love these themes and conflicts of medieval nature and this poem in question is no exception, the truth was very fun to read it seemed very interesting, as much of the actions or deeds that are accompanied to the narrative, The most attractive feature for me was how they are structured, also emphasizes camaraderie, courage and the recovery of honor, honor which our hero tries to recover due to the decision of the king, through his actions in battle taking the victory progressively.
I really liked that transition in trying to clear his name with his actions, considering that he was a figure of noble caste, getting that recognition for his skill was something very remarkable, another point or aspect of our character to highlight is his temper or behavior in certain situations, mainly one in particular that will happen to his daughters unfortunately a little later and how this approach always opting for judicial methods, also shows a strategic and stoic character to certain warlike circumstances which makes it more striking at the level of feats for the reader.
In short, it is a very good book that I recommend, if you would really like to give it the opportunity considering how it is structured with verses, believe me you will like it and it could be a good experience for you. It should be noted that this being a poem recapitulating or making connotation in the most remarkable and notorious feats of Rodrigo in the middle of his life, I would like you to take into consideration the fact that in those times the minstrels or bards to enlarge certain figures of heroic nature to echo others for their exploits, Although Rodrigo or El Cid was an exceptional figure with a significant skill in the battlefield, this poem also intends to form in a more liberal way certain things about his figure with a little creative freedom, rhetoric and realism combining such aspects.

Creo que este es un gusto personal que ya he mencionado con anterioridad a la hora de reseñar películas vinculados a la edad media, pero me encantan estos temas y conflictos de índole medieval y este poema en cuestión no es la excepción, la verdad fue muy divertido el leerlo me pareció muy interesante, como gran parte de las acciones o hazañas que están acompañadas a la narración, son presentadas en versos o rimas fue el rasgo más atractivo para mí y como estos están estructurados, también se hace énfasis en camaradería, el valor y la recuperación del honor, honor el cual nuestro héroe intenta recuperar debido a la decisión del rey, por medio de sus actos en la batalla haciéndose con la victoria de forma progresiva.
Me gusto mucho esa transición al intentar limpiar su nombre con su acciones, considerando que fue una figura de casta noble, hacerse con ese reconocimiento por su destreza fue algo muy resaltante, otro punto o aspecto de nuestro personaje a resaltar es su temple o conducta ante ciertas situaciones, principalmente una en particular que le ocurrirán a sus hijas lamentablemente un poco más adelante y como este la abordo optando siempre por los métodos judiciales, también muestra un carácter estratégico y estoico ante ciertas circunstancia bélicas lo que lo hace más llamativo a nivel de hazañas para el lector.
En resumidas cuentas es un libro muy bueno que recomiendo, si realmente les gustaría brindarle la oportunidad considerando en como este se encuentra estructurado con los versos, créanme que les gustara y podría ser una buena experiencia para ustedes. Cabe destacar que este siendo un poema recapitulando o haciendo connotación en las hazañas más destacables y notorias de Rodrigo a mitades de su vida, me gustaría que tengan en consideración el hecho de que en aquellos tiempos los juglares o bardos para agrandar ciertas figuras de índole heroica para hacer eco a otros por sus hazañas, agrandaban tal figura con ciertas cosas, aunque si Rodrigo o el Cid por lo que se retrata fue un figura excepcional con una destreza significativa en el campo de batalla, este poema también tiene la intención de forma de manera más liberal ciertas cosas sobre su figura con un poco de libertad creativa, retorica y realismo combinando tales aspectos.
Sin más que decir espero que la lectura haya sido de su agrado con este gran libro, luego me gustaría continuar con los otros libros, cuando tenga la oportunidad y tiempo de leerlos, gracias por llegar hasta aquí, hasta la próxima.

Sinceramente es un buen libro, un poco crudo como cantico o poema, sin embargo para su epoca fue una obra maestra que progresaba eones con respecto a sus pares, me encanta recordarlo, tengo al final cuatro versiones distintas del mismo y todas son una obra de arte, me alegra muchisimo ver que lo aprecien, saludos <3
Es una obra que a pesar de su tiempo aun tiene su encanto y como este engrandese en gra medida al heroe de Espana, gracias y saludos bro.
No diria heroe, como hijo de español, tecnicamente no es un heroe, seria mas un asesino sanguinario/mercenario que se limpio al final de su vida que un heroe per se xD
Yo lo digo mas que nada por la representacion simbolica que se le ha dado por sus habilidades, ya que es debido a ello que en primera instancia se dio a conocer el cantar, pro si nos vamos a la figura mas real sigue siendo un mercenario que vivio una epoca conflictiva y solo cumplio con lo que mas le convenia para sobrevivir, pro dentro del campo de batalla tuvo un gran peso y fuera de este.
Que bueno cuando la gente regala libros y más cuando son libros que uno quiere leer. Me ha pasado jejeje y ese libro de poema del Cid se ve potente, he escuchado e indagado sobre el libro, pero no lo he leído. Muy bueno que lo tengas.
