Hivechess Tournament Round 9: lucky first win of @stayoutoftherz in this season

Dear Chessfriends,

in the 9^th round of the Hivechess tournament we were 10 players (maybe some decided to watch the Champions Leage quarter final match instead?) and with an average opponent rating of 1737 it was rather on the lower end.

It was a fast 3+2 Blitz round in which I was able to win with a nice streak of points after - again - a terrible start losing the first 2 games. But I have to say that I somewhat had luck with the pairings. I really don´t understand why I was 3 times paired with the last ranked @rodrook.
Second was @jaki01 (an unusual position for him), only one point behind the first. The difference made also our results against the third ranked @yazp (zulukill). While I had a 50% result, @jaki01 scored only 25% against him. And his final win came too late and was not counted.
The fourth place went to @schamangerbert (HerbyW) who played very solid today (but also helped with a lucky pairing) - best result in this season for him! Very closely behind him was @pereu4ivatel (drakOnb) who got fifth. The remaining tournament points went to @sammy00 (migmag) with his best result ever (6^th place), @rafaelaquino (ajedrezclub2t) (7^th) and @evgsk(evgchess) (8^th).

Of course no change on the top spot, @jak01 has still a comfy lead. I could however strengthen my second spot and today happened what became clear in the last rounds already: @yazp (zulukill) with a solid performance again finally could overtake @pereu4ivatel (drakOnb) and is now ranked 3^rd! For the second place he would need 6 more points - not impossible, 2 rounds to go.
Other changes today: @rafaelaquino (ajedrezclub2t) could improve himself by one rank and is now 7^th, @schamangerbert (HerbyW) with his good result today could gain 2 ranks and is now 11^th and @sammy00 (migmag) could regain the rank he had lost last week.

Payouts:

The winner of each round gets 8 points, the second 7,... and the 8^th 1 point.
Season 2 goes over 11 rounds and all points are summed up. All Hivechess-related post rewards are pooled and 90% go to the price pool. The winner will get 30% of that price pool, the second 20%, the third 10%, the rest is divided equally among the other players active on Hive or Steem, according to the no. of rounds they have played. So everyone has a chance to get something and the more you play the more you win! Prices are payed out in Hive Tokens.
