Prosthetic legs are definitely damn effective for a lot of people and they get a chance to relive what they could have had lost because of just a mishap.

It intensifies phantom feelings and causes bruises in the effected part.
The sensations from the phantom limb can be minimized with therapy. Regarding the bruises, it depends on the doctor/specialist how to minimize them too.
Well I think that cost of both money and pain is too huge. I believe we need something new that can give a one time permanent fix to this problem. But for now unfortunately this is the only option.
