Mountains offer profound silence, cleaner air, and stunning landscapes that lower our stress levels, reduce the pressure to compete, and help us feel more grounded. This is why we often like to hit the mountains area during vacation. Mountains are considered a peaceful place primarily because they remove us from the chaos of the city. But these days, the mountains too getting over crowded as more people like to travel to mountains in search of peace. So the peaceful place is no more a place to enjoy natural serenity. I started avoiding mountain visit unless I get an offer to Natha top in Jammu.
Natha Top situated about 20 km from Patnitop in Jammu and Kashmir is known for its profound peace because it remains an untouched, secluded haven away from commercialized city life. I went there in search of snow but, I was bit late in travelling to the top. I heard of the place from many of my family members but never had the chance to visit to enjoy the tranquility. The location offers sweeping, unobstructed views of the snow capped Pir Panjal range, deep pine forests, and vibrant green meadows. There is no major urban development, allowing the sanctity of the natural environment to remain intact. Unlike more heavily visited hill stations in Kashmir, Natha Top provides an intimate, quiet space where you can sit, relax, and listen to the cool, icy winds. When I saw the view my first word was *This is a actual hill station. There was no population and i completely found it an isolated place.
Sitting at an altitude of approximately 2,711 meters, it offers sweeping, 360-degree vistas of majestic snow.capped peaks. For a moment it was like.i was on top of the world. Look around and you cant a single person. However, to cater the traveler demand. There were a single kiosks that offers hot tea and noodles. There were a cell tower guarded by Indian army and rest only few vehicles of the traveler.
During the winter, the rolling meadows transform into slopes perfect for skiing and snowboarding. I miss the snow activity, as i visited the place last month , when snow melts away. Finding the tranquil atmosphere, I prefer to sit around and enjoy the chill winds. It was a perfect place for meadows photography. I spent an hour at the top enjoy the natural beauty.
The place is easily reachable by taxi. The drive itself offers stunning vistas of rugged terrain and dense pine forests. There is no hotel and restaurant nearby, so make sure to make arenagement at nearby location. This is why the place is not overcrowded , making it a perfect for place to enjoy peaceful atmosphere.
