Slow Sunday and wanted to post a sketch. I am supposed to be vacationing but I guess I would often rather sit in front of PC and draw some. It is nice to have a change of scenery though.
I find travel to be a hassle most of the time and I think I am pretty much a homebody. I dont like to be all "go go go" on vacation unless its a nature heavy trip then I am pretty much outdoors all the time. Anyone else out there who goes on vacation and then doesnt really want to do anything once there ?

Lovely sketch. I loved the way, the face is shaded so it seems the character is coming out of darkness. Beautiful work. The face is quite expressive.

I can totally relate to that feeling but since I am mostly with my family when we go on vacation i rarely get to just sit around. often I feel the urge strongest before I leave. I always try to pack as much modelling and drawing supplies as will fit in my baggage. just to make sure i am able to fit in a few hours of creative withdrawal. I do enjoy historical sights though so it is mostly when the rest of the family want to go shopping that I bail out if possibly

I know it sound pathetic but I like to be at home all time. There's no place like home. My perfect vacation would be being in front of my computer writing, reading and watching tv series. I like to travel from time to time and not for very long, no doubt about it but I'm a homebody like you.
