Description from Strava:
I have missed a couple of weeks of parkrun for various reasons so it was good to be back today. The day started bright and cold as I jogged up there. I never feel like I am ready to run fast, but I think it helps that I can warm up a bit before the actual run. The course was looking less slippery so trail shoes were optional, but I had mine on.

I met up with my fellow regulars at the start for a chat before we set off. On the way there we saw a cormorant stretching its wings in a tree out on an island in the lake. I just went with a pace I thought I could maintain. I can see that I slowed down a bit in the second half. It is never easy doing these runs, but I just focus on keeping going. There was just the usual soft patch to get through and the rest of the course was fine.

A couple of my friends came past me, but I pushed to the end to get my best time of the year and finish in the top third of the 162 participants. I am happy with that.

We went for our usual coffee at the camp shop, but it got a bit chilly and so a couple of us jogged home. As usual I have a few things to do around the house and garden today, but it was a good start to the day.

Run free and get to parkrun if you can.

these images reminded me of when i walked through similar places and felt that same connection with the environment that you managed to capture today when i was a child my father always liked to go for walks and i was his companion that place reminds me that near my town there is a lagoon that on sundays we used to go early to walk along the shore without running we only walked to enjoy the landscape and nature greetings

This is a nice place to run away from roads, but it can get muddy. There's plenty of birdlife.

Bellos paisajes por donde corre usted ..
