Description from Strava:
After Sunday's long run my legs are still feeling it, so I was not going to do anything too vigorous today. It has turned cold again, but at least it is fully light when I get out just after 7.
Jogging through the village I really was not feeling like going fast, but that is fine. I read another article about how you do not need to be hurting to do good. People will say 'no pain, no gain', but things are not true just because they rhyme.
I saw a lot of squirrels today, both greys and blacks. They are the same species I think with the blacks having a mutation (no special powers that I know of). Some of them are pretty tame.
I just kept plodding up the hill. It is a long climb, but not too steep. I was glad once I passed the highest point and did speed up a little coming back down.
I am trying to increase my weekly distance to build my endurance and will enter the Greenway half soon. I think it will be my fourth time.
Have a good week and run free.

We have a lot of squirrels at our local park, but most of them are still hunkered down for the winter I think. Shouldn't be too long before they are out in full force.
I'm not sure if ours hibernate, but they did seem extra active today. The greys and blacks are immigrants from the US. They have displaced the native reds.
Oh, that is too bad. Red squirrels sound much more fun!
Those reds were bigger when I was a kid
I would have guessed they were rabbits from the ears!
One is a rabbit, but the red squirrels have the big tails. The reds are still around in some areas, but not here.
Ah, I guess I didn't pay as much attention as I thought. Sorry for that.
So very true!
There may be as many squirrel as people in the world.

I see lot's during my nature trail walks through the woodlands, it is always lovely to see them around. Glad you are getting the run in despite the cold weather good to hear that it is lighter in the mornings for you.
