Hello everyone!
As I am once again blogging on Hive, I thought now would be a good moment to have a look at the future. In other words, which goals do I set for myself for the coming year. Ofcourse my biggest goal will be to stay active on Hive. If I bail on that goal, than it will be difficult to reach my other goals. Besides that, I decided to go back to the basics. I will mainly focus on my Hive Power goal. It helps to build up a following and gives me bigger upvotes. All of this, while I am still able to enjoy a potential upward trend if Hive starts to wake up from its bear market trends. I still do believe we'll be able to achieve the price of $1 but the question will be when. As soon as we hit that mark, I'll start downwinding my Hive and swap it to hbd, to swap later on back to Hive when its price went down once again. Ofcourse in theory, this all sounds great but we'll see what reality ill do in the future.
Hive Power
This one is definitely my main goal. At the moment of writing, I own 2.7k HP. My end of year goal, is to have minimally 4k HP. Personally I hope though to stretch it to 5k HP. That would be really great. As said earlier on, when the price of hive starts to move, I'll convert some to hbd, which I'll keep in savings to bank on the 15% apr while waiting for Hive's price to go down to convert once again to hp afterwards. In the long run, I could see Hive appreciating but the moment isn't there yet I think.
HSBI
Hive Share Basic Income is as the name is saying a form of basic income on the Hive blockchain. You have to send hive to @steembasicincome while mentioning a name. That way, both you and the account you sponsor will receive an equivalent amount of hsbi. When you have a couple hsbi, you'll start to earn upvotes. The more hsbi, the higher the upvotes. That's in short how it works. I like the project so much because it's a motivation to stay active. If you don't write articles, you don't have the benefits. I kind of see it as an alternative to staking, as your hive is locked up eternally but in return you receive eternal upvotes. At the moment of writing, I have a little bit over 1400 HSBI. I don't plan on actively accumulating these but as I plan to write in the freecompliments community, I will keep building up this stack. Every now and then, there are some contests awarding hsbi in which I participate. As I won't contribute actively, I won't set a hard goal but guess I'll end up somewhere around 1600 HSBI at years end.
Leo Power
Back when I was active, I was using threads quite a lot. Plan is to start utilizing it once again as I really enjoyed doing so. Though no hard goal here. 1.8k LP at the moment of writing. I guess I could qchieve 5k LP at years end but we'll see.
WOO
I am a longtime WOO fan, since 6 months ago the team is working behind the scenes and already explained their roadmap for 2025 and yes, it looks awesome. As I have 5 mil WOO tokens staked for the moment and still hold quite some other qssets, I will just keep 'em for now without spending more money. Although it's definitely a project in which I have a lot of trust!
Conclusion
My main goal is my Hive Power which I want to grow. The other mentioned assets will grow and I'll keep them without actively building them. Maybe if I reach 5k HP, I'll play around a bit with other stuff once again, we'll see.
