End of the Road? Solid Wall?
Or a "secret passage"? A way through?
This is a cool little "pass through" to get from outside the highway wall to inside. Even though I knew it was there and was planning to use it when I first came up on it I was a bit confused as to where I was supposed to go!
I'm sure there's some sort of life lesson in there, like never give up or something, but I just think it's a cool little (not so secret) secret passage!

All roads lead to Rome..........This definitively seems like the work and design of a government agency........confusing and inefficient.
Hahahaha... While generally I agree with that assessment, I actually think this is a pretty good design to minimize sound from the I495 while still allowing pedestrian/cycling access. To each their own though!
Still looks like it was built in WWII. Like a barracks with no arrows or instructions. LOL
