(ESP/ENG) Anime Blogging Challenge # 6: El mejor anime de Seinen que hayas visto / Anime Blogging Challenge # 6: The best Seinen anime you've ever seen

in The Anime Realm2 years ago (edited)

Hi everyone! I must admit that I really like to write reviews about anime, since I currently have no one to talk to about them in everyday life (I have no friends ha ha, we just don't see the same things or the pandemic separates us), so, It is nice that there are challenges like this, where we can mention why a series is considered a favorite. In the case of the seinen category, I must admit that this genre attracts me a lot because you can find many interesting works and with a certain air of mysticism. Among all the ones I have seen, the anime that became my favorite was Boku Dake ga Inai Machi or Erased. How did I know about it? I used to buy the series at anime events in my city, but I did not buy anything, I was quite selective, since I had little free time to waste it watching mediocre series and because the money I had was limited. I really liked asking the seller what they recommended and according to his opinion, buy the series. When I acquired Boku dake, I could not be more convinced, since the seller mentioned to me "I showed it to a friend and without telling you a lie, he called me at 3 in the morning to tell me about the anime because he needed to talk about it with someone" . I did not hesitate any longer. If it was capable of blowing your sleep, it must have been shocking. That convinced me to take the series home with me.

The series introduces us to the young Satoru Fujinuma, who works as a part-time manga author and pizza delivery boy. Regardless of the efforts, it seems that his stories do not achieve their mission, his editor-in-chief is not convinced with his material, he lacks something, the characters are rigid, they do not convey anything, they lack essence. Satoru gets frustrated at not knowing how to reflect that in his characters, he is unable to do it because in his life, he cannot do it either. There was a dramatic event in his childhood that marked him forever and made him a closed person. Apart from that, the boy has a special ability that nobody knows: He is able to go back in time a few minutes before, when something tragic happens around him. He is so used to his gift, that when Satoru sees what we know as deja vu, he knows that he must concentrate on the details of the environment, because he has jumped in time and if he does not act, a doom will occur before his eyes. This allows him heroic actions like avoiding someone being run over before his eyes. Still, there is something weighing on Satoru's heart, an ancient wound that left an indelible mark on his soul. The obvious thorn that makes your life miserable.

But, as if fate wanted to intercede to help him face his past, Satoru has a new jump in time, only this one does not or goes back a couple of minutes ... if not several years, more specifically, to when Satoru was going to Elementary school. This is how Satoru finds himself inhabiting his body from when he was a child, but with the mentality and memories of adults. What happened? Why did his jump take him so far back in time? What event should you avoid being at that time? It is there when he realizes, he finds the old wound about to be opened: The murder of a classmate occurred and he could not do anything. Will he now, with his adult reason, be able to unravel the mystery after the murder of his partner? Will he be able to save her? Will he find the murderer and be able to bring him to justice?

It is interesting to see how Satoru manages to be able to behave appropriately in a child environment, as an adult. And it is that who has not fantasized about being able to travel in time and being able to change certain things of the past? Satoru recognizes his schoolmates and is happy to relive that time when he was just a child. It is then when, with the experience of someone who has already gone through that time, Satoru behaves more determined and lively than when he was at that time, all, trying not to arouse suspicion and at all times attentive to what is happening around him. . I love how Satoru lets go and puts aside that air of a serious adult to surrender to the innocence of a child, as if allowing that inner child to emerge again. Those are the parts of the anime that I liked the most, as many of us have left that innocence and cuteness behind once we enter the serious adult world. So anyone would go back to eating the food that Mom makes us with affection and running around with classmates. A perfect outlet for the anguished Satoru.

Although he has returned to his childhood, Satoru does not let his guard down. He knows that the jump in time had its purpose and it is in his insight, being able to find a way to avoid misfortune. It is there when he spots Kayo Hinazuki, a girl of his extremely reserved class whom he only knew by sight and who was found dead along with other children. Satoru then decides to avoid said outcome for the poor girl. Since in the past, she avoided approaching him out of shyness, even though she knew that Kayo was always alone because she had no friends. Now that he has more confidence in himself, he does everything possible to win the friendship of the girl and protect her, especially to save her from the day she is murdered.

It is inevitable not to get hooked on the plot, very much in the style of a suspense movie, where the protagonist calculates each movement, analyzing it with the decisions made in the past and his knowledge about the future. Satoru not only befriends Kayo, but also discovers that she is mistreated by her mother, which will lead him to want to help the girl leave a home that constantly puts her at risk. But, even the job of protecting Kayo is a lot for a little Satoru, getting it with the help of his childhood friends, who make the task of keeping the killer away easier.

But, without a doubt. What makes this my favorite anime seinen was more than anything the final chapter ... (And in this part I clarify that, if you have not seen the anime, it has interested you and you do not want to become a spoiler, you can stop read from this point heh heh) ...

When Satoru comes out of the coma and has his confrontation with the murderer, the scene of the dialogue between the two, it seems to me simply sublime. The way in which the murderer insists to Satoru that if he is alive it is because he wishes, that it was always in his power to determine the moment of his death, boasting about it ... and then Satoru's auction, where shows the other that he is wrong, that the only reason he is still alive is because the killer needs him, because he, Satoru, is the only one who really knows him, the only one who has seen him without his mask and that. , it makes him feel less alone ... that's when we see the murderer's internal struggle, insisting that it is not like that and Satoru proves it by trying to jump into the void ... more as he had predicted, the man rushes and prevents him from falling , thus proving to Satoru that he is indeed right. That man who murdered his friends in other timelines has the gall to maintain the meaning of his existence through Satoru. But, unable to accept defeat, as a last act, the man lets go of Satoru and then thinks about committing suicide, throwing himself and surrendering himself to death after so many years clinging to the one who had discovered the darkness of his soul ... I don't know because all that seemed poetic to me ha ha I was completely enraptured with that "final battle" against the villain, where the winner ended up defeated by the most agile player in the game.

Additionally, I was fascinated by the Opening Re: Re of the group **Asian Kung-Fu Generatio **. The music seems very catchy to me and the animation fits perfectly.
