Here is my song for HIVE open mic 114! The theme for this week is 'More Than Words' so I couldn't resist... I had to play one of my favourite songs, More Than Words!
This is a song by Extreme, and the guitarist Nuno Bettencourt is one of the all time greats. I think many of you will know this song :) this is a wonderful acoustic love song, a true musical masterpeice!
I hope this song brings all of you peace, love and relaxation! Global harmony is our mission, world peace is our vision!:)
I will give everyone a little bit more information about myself too - I am living in New Zealand and have been really working on my music over the recent years. I've played guitar for about 17 years now, but have had some times where I neglected my playing for a bit. The past 3 years I have been focused, and rekindled my love for music. I've been recording songs and I am releasing my debut album on the 9th July! I'll keep you all updated!
My musical journey is a work in progress, I'm not the best singer but love to play and sing, and will use these videos as a reference point to improve upon! The song is actually sang an octave higher, but it was a little too high for me. Maybe I will give it a go soon after a bit of practice and see how it sounds :)
For this submission I really wanted to play a big guitar solo like I usally do, but music is about evolving and trying something new - so it is quite rare for me to record myself singing and playing like this! However, there will be more to come! :)

Morning just started at my place, and so far it is going well :)))
I thought no one was going to introduce this song.
The only entry I saw of this song this week was by an Asian guy singing karaoke. But to make things worse, he used the "StarMaker" App for Android and iOS. This App has AI and allows you to make corrections to the voice while singing, modifying the voice and eliminating out-of-tune errors.
I mean, it's fun to play it, but showing up at Hive Open Mic singing karaoke using this App is ridiculous.
I congratulate you since you did make the effort to sing with your real voice and play the guitar.
