Why do extreme cruelty to animals sometimes happen on farms?

Massive animal welfare violations have been uncovered in Germany on a dairy farm. I have seen many videos on YouTube where animals have been brutally treated.

  • Mass animal husbandry is to blame

  • The employees are overwhelmed

  • A brutalization of society is to blame

  • The money and the greed is to blame

  • The time the employees have is too short

  • Too few employees are employed

  • The animal is treated as a commodity

  • Too few controls

  • Political decisions are partly to blame

  • Other ... ?

Thank you, abbak7 :). Exactly, the employees are overwhelmed. It is not the person who has to be adapted to the work. Work has to adapt to people. So. And all this from a very young age, wherever. And then I think it will no longer be brutalized. So that money and greed don't arise, you have to help people financially, also the people who work.

Thank you, bluerobo :). I hope that factory farming will cease soon, and there are small organic farms where the animals can graze in the pasture and they are fine. I hope that society will become more aware and sensitive. I hope that an unconditional basic income will be introduced so that the greed will be less, that people do not have to have financial worries, become calmer and more patient and work less time. I hope that the working conditions get better. Then I think it'll get better and the animals are not so exposed to the rage of humans. I hope very soon

Its interesting on the one hand demand for factory farming is going up. At the same time consciousness for sustainable food is growing more rapidly. It looks very up in the air where we are going but its getting better - slowly.

As to a basic income, I don't believe it should too much. But definitely enough to avoid being exploited by unscrupulous people who actively exploit the already troubled. People should have the freedom to say no when they are mistreated, without having to fear for their existence.

The demand for sustainable nutrition would grow much faster if people had more money. I think that the unconditional basic income for everyone (including the working person) should be so high that everyone can afford sustainable food and so that one does not have to live on the streets, and can lead a decent life.
Yes, people should always have the freedom to say no. It would be so important to leave free, independent and self-confident thinking and acting. But unfortunately it is taught from an early age that one should say yes to everything and one should follow.

I think it is the people who are cruel to the animals who are to be blamed.

Sorry, I had problem logging in to dpoll.xyz, so I cannot do the poll.

Thank you, quotes-haven :). I also think that it is partly the fault of people who are cruel to animals. But there are many reasons why this happens.

Thank you, maxer27 :). I think because when we were kids, we could never decide for ourselves what we wanted. As a child you always have to beg, Mummy can I get that? Daddy can I get that? And then you are often so overwhelmed in school. I think sometimes it's frustrating. I think you have had to do without so much that sometimes you want more and more money and sometimes people get greedy.

Thank you, wakeupkitty :). I also find that factory farming among other things is to blame. I would like it best if there were organic farms everywhere, where the animals would be out in nature and feel comfortable.

Let's hope there will be more of it in the future. 💕

Thank you, simonjay :). I also think that all the above points are to blame. But we could all reduce meat consumption, too. Even a small amount of meat with a lot of potatoes can make goulash tasty. We can also, for example, make salmon or meat skewers instead of salmon or meat alone, where there are a lot of vegetables and fruits. Peaches and pineapples can also be added very well. And we don't have to eat meat that much.
The slaughter of animals is very brutal. I think that animal protection organisations and politicians should get together and consult and introduce regulations. As it is, it is not possible. It must change. We must not tolerate this cruelty to animals. Why, for example, are male chicks allowed to be shredded? Why must the fur of the living animal be removed? Why is the keeping in the narrowest space? Why are geese stuffed with too much food? Why animal experiments? The politicians could push through a lot, but why don't they do that?

All animals must be FREE !

.. and if people want to eat meat, they have to kill the animal themselves ! My point of view :-))

Thank you, anttn :). You're right, all animals must be FREE :). But the rich would then hire hunters, the poor and those who have to work 8 or more hours a day, and those who could not kill out of compassion would probably become vegans :)

you're welcome !!!

yeah, let's all go VEGAN or at least vegetarian !

super sorry for this soooo late answer :-/ please forgive me !

Enjoy your weekend !

Thank you, anttn :D. I am also very late.

never no problem ^^ I am a kind of very strange answering specimen :D

Thank you, jeffjagoe :). People need to sleep more, they need to dream. We are completely overworked. In a dream you experience a life far away from money. Man comes to himself. Stress and impatience are lost. Maybe he will understand why the animal is stubborn, he doesn't want that himself either. He will then say to the boss, hey, you, what is this stress, I don't force anyone, can't we do it differently?
Only at the butcher's or in the supermarket do we see the piece of meat or the packaging. Do we even think about what happened before? That it was a loving animal that looked at us?

Thank you, akdx :). Maybe we'll soon have the veggie burger that really tastes like meat. On YouTube I saw a video "Food of the future from Silicon Valley". I also saw a video where you can make a steak from the stem cells of the cow without having to kill the animal.

Thank you, n1hal, :) Why does meat taste so good, that's the question. Then that would not happen.
