I'm back
I have been busy with packing up my old house and condo, and moving to Massachusetts and unpacking in our new place, but now am almost there still have a few boxes in the garage and sunroom to sort out, but now getting back into photography and Hive, I am finding being retired and organizing this new place and getting out for walks and photoshoots which we just started this week, I have less time to be online so not sure how active I will be on here but will be popping on from time to time
but at least I am finally doing a real post and will be doing more after this long break

This post is for Wednesday walk challenge And Make me Smile Collaboration challenge, initially our collaboration was once a month but due to the popularity of it we have decided to make the collab a weekly thing :)
Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.
This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines
Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.
Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.
Try and get a few shots not just one
Add a bit of a write up about where you walked
You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.
Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss
Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .
Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.
I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules
Actifit
A good App that works well in conjunction with the Wednesday Walk or any day walk is @actifit, which rewards you with Actifit Tokens and Upvotes, if you use the app to track your steps and do a post of your actifit total each day.
If you do a lot of activity I do recommend you check it out
Make me Smile Collaboration
As I mentioned above Wednesday Walk is collaborating with the [Make Me Smile] hosted by @elizacheng,
Here are the rules for her challenge
Your post can be writing, singing, video, poem,drawing, photography etc.... the most important part is your post Make me" smile, Remember, the ME is whoever read/view/listen to your post and this includes YOURSELF.
b. Your content must be ORIGINAL CONTENT
c. Please include at least 50 Words in your post
This weeks post is not exactly a walk but some shots of fireworks
these were all taken on the 4th of July, our sons Brother in Law and a friend set up this display and I got a few shots, It was the first time I used my camera for a couple of months and the tripod mount plate was loose and I didn't have time to tighten it up when the fireworks started but happy enough with some of the shots I got
These were all taken with my Sony A7iii and the 17-28mm f2.8 Sony Lens

Wizz, bang pop and you back, well sorta back on and off. Good to hear the move went well and starting to settle down in your new home.
Change is as good as a holiday, those photographs must reflect some of the mood, moving is explosive in many ways, ruffles our feathers a little when we are older.

Yay! You are back! Moving to a new place... Unpacking stuff is not an easy task... I move to my house now about 8 years ago... Lol... Some boxes are still in their original packed state... I guess those aren't really important stuff after all... Because I didn't even once thought of unpacking them and use them... And I don't think I remember what's inside the boxes... So now when it comes to buying things for the house, I will always ask myself whether it is a need or a want... If it's a want, high chance is I am not buying...

Thanks its been hectic and I have hurt my shoulder with all the moving boxes etc, but not to bad and hopefully when I finish unpacking it will settle down, either way we see our new Dr next week so I may get it checked

Welcome back! I hope your move went well. It's nice to hear from you. I haven't been on a whole lot ever since the whole lockdown started like come in fits and spurts! These are beautiful pictures and thank you so much for sharing. I'd like to start getting involved in the Wednesday walk if I can discipline myself. Also, if I can stay away from migraines!

Well it's good to see you back! As far as my migraines I've come to realize they're just going to be a part of my life. There's no real cure but Botox injections every three months keep them somewhat at bay. Looking forward to see more of what you have! Have a great weekend and take it easy!

Cheers mate, yesterday we went to the Cape Cod to visit family who are there for a week and ended up staying over night so fell off here again LOL

Good night my friend or good morning when you read this, I guess my new sunrises will be much like my old ones just a new location
ps did i mention I ended up splashing out a week or so ago and got a new lens, didn't end up going with Sigma, got the sony 200-600 and loving it so far ;)_

I'm only joking of course 😉 because I have just had a look where Cape Cod is. That area and the peninsula look great and very interesting 😀
The Sigma lens would have been great, but I believe the Sony is certainly the better choice, although not the cheaper 😉 I wish you much fun with it - no bird of prey can hide from you in the distance again 😁

I to love them, and thanks for the visit, yes we had planned ot move when I retired to be close to family, but thought with Covid it might be delayed but then this house came up that ticked most of the boxes on our wishlist so we had to act quickly

Thanks and yes we had been planning to mover here after I retired but Covid changed plans, and we thought we would move later in the year but then this house came up and we loved it and had to make an offer even after only a virtual tour and our son checking it out, all happened so quick LOL
