May Spring stroll in the Kingdom of Fife

Hello Hello Hivers, Hivians and any other wonderful being who has stumbled onto this!

I am back with another wee stroll in the spring sunshine here in the Kingdom of Fife in Scotland, come let's walk the now.

May Spring Stroll.png

Last week we finished with white bluebells so today we start with the normal bluebells!

They renovated this old lodge in the park and turned it into a primarty school.

But the pillocks of a council have put the sign covering up one of the lion statues, which are over a 100 years and were restored. Fkcuing useless corrupt arses they really are.

image.png

Post 5pm is becoming the best part of the day here lately, the sun seems to come out then lol!

image.png

This park used to host motorbike races, and these avenues of trees I just imagine with spectators as motorbikes sped past at breakneck speed!

The first race was in 1948

image.png

Npw then, I call these raspeberry pink and it is my favourite colour of wool I think!

image.png

It is from a Rhododendron bush.

image.png

I am pretty sure it is the popular hybrids 'Germania'

image.png

Anyway one more avenue until we go 'offtrack'!

image.png

Time for the offroad experience. Each day I walk past I do notice more greenery and leaves appearing on things!

image.png

We did let Sir Michael sleep and stayed on the lower path today.

image.png

image.png

There are quite a few on and offramps to the main park from the woods, I wish there was more onramps to Hive lol.

Wild garlic and bluebells!

image.png

This whole trail at this time of the year is a scentfest. The smell of wild garlic is amazing, and if you are a garlicaholic like me then you will be in ecstasy walking along the trails!

image.png

There were a few clumps of Spanish bluebells but for the most part the originals still rule the roost!

image.png

The larger white flowers in the foreground are Spanish bluebells.

image.png

image.png

3 types of bluebells! - Can you spot them?

image.png

Back on the final stretch and time to get home and make dinner!

image.png

And there we have it. That is my second Wednesday walk in May which happened to be yesterday.

Anyway, have a good one.

What a beautiful walk! I love garlic. There is a festival somewhere in the US each year for garlic that would be so fun to visit, but I doubt I will ever make it there. It's out in Gilroy California and I have seen footage from it on TV.

Hehe and now you have added something to my to do list! Is that garlic festival somewhere near @thebighigg I wonder!

No, Gilroy is up by the San Francisco Bay area. Just southeast of San Jose if you know the area. I know @silversaver888 lives up that direction though!

!PIZZA

I only know 50 Beale Street in San Francisco, it was the headquarters for Bechtel which I went to a few times when I worked for them.

It could be, I honestly don't know, He will have to answer that!

PIZZA!

What a great walk! I love all of the flowers with the bluebells and all of the red/pink! Wild garlic I don't think I've ever smelled, it must smell great. It's good stuff to cook with though.

Too bad some idiot put a sign up blocking the view of the lion statue. Some people just don't pay attention to any details... The Sir Michael statute alone in the forest is pretty cool though. What's his story?

You just got DUO from @thebighigg.

If you like garlic then you will love the smell of wild garlic hehe! Sir Michael is the 800 year old wizard who I think is having a well deserved nap!

Walks are always great, and if there are beautiful landscapes full of flowers to see, then they're even better. So you love garlic, then I know you're not a vampire. hahaha. Big hugs and bluebells for you.

That is so true Nancy. Oh hell yeah I love garlic and have loads of it jeje! Yes not a vampire, but biting a ladies neck, why not 😜 Thanks Nancy, yes a beautiful walk when nature is involved. A big hug Nancy 🤗

Wow, beautiful spring walk indeed. The photos are stunning. Those flowers are the killer. 😂

Thanks luchyl, nature spoiling us again! The flowers hehe they are the best!

That's happy walk in a happy place, so they used to host motorbike races there, but not anymore? It sounds fun, but I am also sure not all people like it, or maybe they did? Its good to witness one, do you actually want to experience it or na? The whole place is already so good though. Love all the greens, the blues and the flowers. So masaya there.

Yeah the people loved it. But health & safety and beaurocrats now... You can't do this, you can't do that, you can't say this and you can't say that. It is pathetic!
I have seen enough motorsports in my younger days, now I am happy walking round it playing with dogs!

Oh my god, bureaucrats with signs. Drives me wild. Right in front of the view in front of the beach. Absolute dickheads. Don't do this, don't do that, blah blah blah.

The bluebells are so lovely.

I love bluebells and they look gorgeous in their different colours.

Bureaucrats can be dickheads, not sure what it is like down under, but here it has become fluffing farcical, same with politicians on all sides of the divide!

If I walk in that place , I never get tired upon watching the nice views there .

Nature blesses us, you can walk the same path on different days and see different things!

I saw those different types of blue bells. Hehehe. I like to walk in that path too especially seeing those flowers😌😌
