And I'd go out somewhere, and it would just look so bright and colourful, because I'd just been, you know, consumed with details of black and white. I mean, I got it done, I got it finished, I was happy with it, but then, you know, that's just done, isn't it? Oh, well, whatever. I know exactly what you mean, but you know, I think it's always nice, because that kind of drawing, with that kind of detailed drawing, it's a very meditative moment, and you're not really thinking about whatever's all around you, or your worries, or your bills, and you can just basically just relax.
And when it finishes, it finishes, because it's not usually made with a goal in mind, it's just like, just doing it, because I can't imagine doing that on a regular basis. But if one can do that, at least even once a year, you know, once every six months, complete a whole piece like that, it takes a long time, but that would be pretty cool. It could take many years before you have a collection, but I like that, you know, maybe I should start doing it.
I was telling somebody that even though I retired, they said, oh, how is it with all this time you have in your hand? I said, I don't know, I haven't had time yet. I retired, and I think I had two days of retirement, and then I've been running around trying to make drawings and artwork, because I got myself committed to doing several things to sell. And I counted that day, and I have literally one, two, three, four, five, eight pieces of which I've already finished and submitted four.
