RE: Ravaged by two cold fronts in the Cape of Storms.

Funny how the wildlife takes advantage of the breaks in the rain storm. The squirrels and doves both show up for food, even if the squirrel is a bit muddy. What do you expect, it was raining after all? The sunbird out looking for bugs,.. Those are some fun pictures!

The human wildlife isn't always so careful during the rain, so many people drive like absolute idiots when it rains! It's like they thing friction coefficient is the same when it's dry or wet, absolutely not... We see a lot of accidents here form people who just aren't careful, and it doesn't rain a whole lot in Southern California so many aren't all that used to it!

Glad to hear the dams are holding up so far, the last thing you need is flooding with any additional cold fronts... I guess it's a nice welcome to winter for you!

Oh yes, the wildlife know that they need full tummies in order to cope with the wet conditions, and they are clever enough to wait for the rain breaks. I wish you could have seen how cute that little sunbird was.

Agreed, and here the people love to tailgate, especially the guys in big trucks, and if a car comes to a sudden stop, then there is no time for the car behind to stop, as the road is wet and slippery. People will have to learn the differences between a wet road and a dry road, as if one drives on the wet like on the dry, then it's looking for trouble.

Thankfully the river from the mountain was widened recently, and we are not in danger of flooding anymore, but I cannot say the same for the dams up north inland, and we will just have to wait and see. Some more rain is on its way, as a new cold front is expected to land here on Sunday, and let's hope that a lot of water will fall in our dam's water catchment areas.
